The Young Cook For our Young Cooks aged 5-11 years old, we have a full fun activity cooking club. This cooking club was created as the co-owner Alesha has a passion for getting children of all ages involved in all elements of kitchen and cooking. With a background in Scouting and being a paediatric nurse by trade, Alesha has developed a safe and fun approach to cooking and kitchen skills. All sessions include arts and crafts and outdoor time in line with our OFSTED registration and government guidelines. We believe children should lead their learning and are involved in our weekly planning. We have 2 types of holiday activity & cooking clubs The Young Cook for children aged 6-11 years old and The Junior Chef for young people aged 12-16 years old. We also have the following Cooking Club - weekly term time sessions Zoom classes - individual and group sessions All our programmes are designed with the children at the centre. We provide badges and certificates for achievements which give children confidence in food and being in the kitchen. Our aim is to make sure every child we encounter gains skills for life to help them make better food choices in their future.
